Antique Swedisch travel chest in amazing patina

Very nice, sturdy Swedish chest, cold scraped down to the last original layer of paint.

Chest is distressed, has a wonderfully beautiful weathered patina and is finished with old hand-forged ironwork and lock without key. 

In the 18th century, these chests were used to store food for people and horses to take with them in the carriages during the journey.

Normal traces of use, in very good condition.

A very usable chest dating from the late 18th century.
